Affiliates can be publishers, media entities, content creators, bloggers, and more.

All Affiliates are required to have an account on impact.com and adhere to their usage standards. Each application undergoes a personalized review to assess alignment with Whatnot.

If applying as an individual, affiliates must be at least 18 years of age, have 500+ followers or subscribers on a single social media channel and make or promote appropriate content.

Affiliates can earn 10% on a new user’s first purchase and 4% on all other purchases. Commission rates are applied to qualifying transactions.

Affiliates who drive considerable volume are also eligible for monthly performance bonuses.

A qualifying transaction occurs when an end user makes a purchase within 3 days after clicking your affiliate link. You can be paid for up to 15 purchases per end user and each transaction has a maximum affiliate earning of $500. Commission rates only apply to below mentioned categories and are subject to change.

Note that affiliates are restricted from using their referral links (whatnot.com/invite/your-username) as affiliate links, and any purchase through an affiliate link made from a referral link will not receive any commission. For more information on referral links, check out our referral program.

Our tracking cookies last 3 days, meaning that if a user clicks on your affiliate link posted on your website, then you will be credited with all sales as long as the user purchases within those 72 hours

Your Whatnot Referral Link is the link you access directly in the Whatnot app. When you share that link with a new user that makes their first purchase you receive credit.

This is a different link and program entirely than Whatnot Affiliates, where you can earn when any user, no or old, makes a qualifying purchase.

However, you will not earn commission on any transactions that occur when you make an affiliate link out of your Whatnot referral link (whatnot.com/invite/*your-username*).

Upon acceptance into Whatnot Affiliates, you will receive access to our third-party affiliate software where you can create and manage your affiliate referral links. When educating your audience about Whatnot, always include your affiliate referral links. Our tracking cookie window is 3 days, which means your referred user will have 72 hours from time they click your affiliate link for their purchases to be eligible for commission. Each time they click that link the 72 hour window will begin again!

Whatnot Affiliate is powered by impact.com. Once you have an account setup, you will find the three dots on the bottom left of the home page > “Settings”. Then scroll down to “FINANCE” > “Bank Account”. All payouts will be done via Impact to your bank.

Yes! If you live outside the US, you can join Whatnot Affiliates. Note we currently offer our contract in USD so there may be exchange fees upon payout depending on the location of your bank. Impact also requires all international affiliates upload a W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E prior to their first payout. Learn more about this policy here.

Currently, only members of Impact’s marketplace are eligible to use their app. To do this, login to Impact on a browser, go to the Impact dashboard, click on profile and click "Join the impact.com Marketplace".
Here are the instructions on how to get started as a partner for more general information.

1. On your partner account dashboard, in the right-hand column, locate the CREATE AND SHARE LINK widget.

2. From the [Drop-down list], select Whatnot Affiliates.

3. Enter any URL to Whatnot, including a category page, search result, seller, or even just the Whatnot homepage! We included some examples but you can link to anything on Whatnot.

4. Optionally, select Advanced to add Sub IDs, a Shared ID, or a Promotional Property to the link for enhanced tracking

5. Select Create. The shareable tracking link will be available near the bottom of the widget.

Your affiliate links could not be earning commission for a few reasons:

1. They are linked to expired shows or listings. Try linking to a search result or seller page!

2. Users are clicking through but not making a qualifying purchase. Check out more about qualifying purchases here.

3. You may not have copied your affiliate link. Make sure it starts with “whatnot.pxf.io”!
